Who are they for?
Foundation years can be used if you have a good academic background, but not a huge amount of science education, or they can be for individuals who don't meet the entry requirements for the standard 5-year course. Often widening participation criteria need to be met to be eligible to apply.

A widening participation initiative for UK students who fulfil specific criteria and wish to apply for a clinical programme. This course is open to applicants from specific schools and colleges in the UK only and/or to those who have spent 3 months or more in care.
