Dana has a background in political science and political theory, completing a BSc and MSc in the field. She then went on to achieve her PhD in bioethics at Princeton University and continued on at Princeton as a lecturer. Before starting medicine Dana went back to college to obtain the right A-levels and worked as an HCA in a mental health unit. She loves dancing, cats and languages!

Monifa previously studied social psychology before completing the Teach First graduate programme and qualifying as a primary teacher. After six years of teaching primary, including achieving a leadership diploma, she decided to make the move to study medicine and is now currently in year one at Liverpool after passing year zero of the Gateway course!
